蒸汽进入多效蒸馏水机第一效，在对蒸馏水机加热的同时，其污染渗漏也可能存在。因此，对多效蒸馏水机第一效的设计制造应采取双管板技术结构，以保证蒸馏水机在制作蒸馏水时不被污染。而双管板是指胀管板和焊管板双重结构，在胀管板和焊管板之间，有10mm左右的间隙，如果加热蒸汽有泄露，则从胀管板一端渗出蒸汽，如果进料水一端有泄露，则从焊管板一端渗出水液。这样即可以有效防止渗漏污染，也可及时发现泄漏故障。
